Happy Week 4! With almost a quarter of the way through the season, I’m feeling good about my techniques and analysis. 💪This week, my Sir Rebral Seven clocked in with a 57% success rate. Not too shabby. And that just about matches my success rate for my overall slate (54%).

Now, let’s dive in with these games. Here’s what I got wrong and what I got wrong:

The Sir Rebral Seven

✅SIR REBRAL SELECT: JAX -3 against ATL

Jacksonville was in control of this one, from start to finish. They jumped out to a 17-0 lead, and cruise-controlled to a victory over the inferior Atlanta squad. The Jags defense is on the up and up.

✅SIR REBRAL SELECT: MIN -4 at CAR

The first drive of the game, the Vikings were on the goal line and threw a 100 yard interception return for a touchdown! It was a dicey start, but they prevailed by 8 points in the end, as Carolina just cannot score the ball on offense. Their defense scored 7, offense 6!

❌SIR REBRAL SELECT: NE +7 at DAL

This game was a total dud for the Patriots. They seemed to be trending up and improving, but Dallas shattered all of their hopes and dreams, to my surprise. The Patriots defense couldn’t stop the Cowboys at all, and they were dominated in every facet.

❌SIR REBRAL SELECT: KC -10 at NYJ

The Chiefs jumped out to an early lead, but Mahomes was off his game in this one. He threw 2 interceptions and less than 250 yards for the first time IN HIS CAREER! Meanwhile, Zach Wilson played his BEST career game, and the Chiefs still squeaked out a close win. Disappointing outcome, but now we’ve learned a bit more about these teams.

❌SIR REBRAL SELECT: CIN -2.5 at TEN

The Bengals fooled me last week, as they started to look like a coherent team again. This week, all of that seeming progress went right back out the window, as the Titans blew them out of the building. This was a bad selection by me.

✅SIR REBRAL SELECT: CIN TEN Under 41

The under was obligatory, with these teams being 30th and 31st in points scored heading into the week. It didn’t unravel how I planned, but a 27-3 final score was plenty good enough for the under!

✅SIR REBRAL SELECT: DEN CHI Over 46

As expected, very little defense in this one! Almost all of the red zone trips ended up in touchdowns, as these squads can’t stop anyone. The Broncos gave up 700 yards of offense last week to the Dolphins, and 500 yards of offense to the Bears. Everyone and anyone can move the ball on them, so betting overs in their games are obligatory for the time being!

Don’t touch this spread!

The Commanders looked awful last week, but with that many points it was still worth laying off and re-evaluating later. The Commanders cleaned up their act and played a fantastic game, making the Eagles sweat it out all the way to overtime, where Philly squeaked it out by 3.
