Magic +8.5 @ Cavaliers
Orlando is a league-best 36-19 (65.5%) ATS this season. While Cleveland is on a hot streak, winning 10 of their last 11, they’ve had some close games recently, beating the Bulls by only 3 in their last game before the All-Star break and covering in only 6 of those 11. With Paolo Banchero averaging 26.7 PPG against the Cavs this season and Franz Wagner racking up 36 points against Chicago last week, the Magic offense should keep up with Cleveland, and their 5th-ranked defense should limit opportunities on the other end of the court.
Knicks +1.5 @ 76ers
Injuries plague both sides of this matchup, as New York is forced to sit Julius Randle and OG Anunoby and Joel Embiid is still out for Philly. In their last matchup, the Knicks had a balanced attack, ending the game with 8 players scoring in the double digits en route to a 128-92 thrashing. While Buddy Hield has been hot since joining the Sixers a couple weeks ago, Philly will fall short without their reigning MVP.
Pacers -11.5 vs. Pistons, Jaden Ivey O17.5 pts
Sure, Detroit is 12-4 ATS over their last 16 games and Indiana’s defense allows the 3rd-most points in the NBA, but it’s the Pistons we’re talking about. Meanwhile, the Pacers are the highest-scoring team in the league and boast the highest field goal percentage. They don’t guard well against the power forward and shooting guard positions, giving up the most and second most points in those categories, but Detroit is hardly much to worry about at those positions. However, Jaden Ivey has averaged 17.4 FGA in his last 5 games and should have plenty of opportunities to score, so take the over on his point total.
Celtics -8.5 @ Bulls
The winningest team in the league should be able to stifle the Bulls with their 3rd-ranked defense. Though Boston isn’t the best at containing the 3, Chicago is pretty weak beyond the arc, averaging 11.8 3-pointers made while giving up the second-most to opposing offenses. You can feel comfortable laying the points here.
